Wait Until You See the Whites of Their Eyes

Today is the Summer solstice in the northern hemisphere, the longest day of the year for you and me, but if you are one of the Iranian Mullahs, right now every day is the longest day of the year.

Since the Iranian Revolution in 1979, the Islamic government of Iran has crossed every conceivable line, told every conceivable lie, violated every conceivable treaty, funded and managed terror attacks against the United States and its allies, and has been the largest destabilizing force in the most unstable region of the world. They have directly and indirectly killed Americans for 45 years, while hiding behind anti-American doves and our enemies at the UN and using our weakness and appeasement against us. Iran has called the US the "Great Satan" and Israel the "Little Satan," and they have called for the destruction of both the US and Israel consistently for 45 years.

Their so-called peaceful civilian nuclear program is a charade and is a thinly disguised front for the development of- as we now know- nuclear weapons perhaps numbering over a dozen according to Israeli intelligence. They have partnered with North Korea, Russia, and China in the development of not only their nuclear weapons program, but in the development of an arsenal of ballistic missiles which threaten every nation within a 1300 mile radius, and developed a drone arsenal that was technically cutting edge and a threat to the entire region. They undoubtedly have sleeper cells within our borders. The most recent two democrat administrations actually funded the jihad directly in the case of Obama, and indirectly in the case of Biden. In between, Trump put his boot on Iran's throat, which delayed the inevitable. Unfortunately, the 2020 election was stolen and the agents of appeasement regained power which allowed Iran to regain their power.

The Iranians have tried as recently as December to orchestrate the assassination of President Trump and were directly responsible for the maiming and death of hundreds of Americans in Iraq. We owe them nothing except our scorn.

Based on that, and their funding and backing of the ongoing jihad and terror war against Israel and her allies, which reached its peak on October 7, 2023, what Israel has done to Iran in the last 8 days is in no way an "escalation" or "provocation," as it has been described in some media and political circles, it was an long overdue enforcement of sovereign global security that the feckless UN and our own appeasement during democrat administrations made mandatory. In no way should any American be against what Israel did, it is for our benefit as well.

Pay particular attention to those in the media and in Washington who are against Israel's action and our support for Israel. Why would they be against it? What do they stand to gain from a nuclearized Iran, from a continued terror war against Israel and US interests, and a nuclear arms race in the most volatile region in the world?

Ask that question of those who supported- and funded- the war in Ukraine that was a direct result of OUR causing a color revolution and regime change in Ukraine that destabilized the relationship between Ukraine and Russia, between the Baltic states and Russia, and NATO's mission creep against Russia. Why would they be FOR funding a war in Ukraine and furnishing American weapons and intelligence but be AGAINST doing the same thing for Israel? Why would they be against the US selling or leasing Israel B-2 bombers and the necessary munitions to destroy Iran's nuclear threat?

President Trump has handled this situation perfectly to date, as I discussed in this space last week, building a coalition of Israel's neighbors, making economic and security deals that will be a catalyst to a lasting peace, and not standing in Israel's way as they took care of not only their business, but ours as well. President Trump did the right thing first with the 60 days negotiation, and now giving the weird beards another two weeks to ponder their fate, but make no mistake, the Iranian nuclear program must be dismantled or destroyed, not allowed to continue in any manner going forward, and monitoring and enforcement of that must be done by a partnership between the United States and Israel, with no involvement by the UN or any other international alliances or accountability to those organizations. Also, there must be continued financial sanctions against Iran to stop the funding of terror, and assurances, again enforced by solely the US and Israel, that Iran will not be allowed to rearm in any manner with drones, missiles, nuclear, or biological weapons.

President Trump is right to give the weird beards a chance to survive, after all regime change is at the discretion of the Iranian people, but that doesn't change the rest of the equation, that Iran must not be allowed to further destabilize the region, develop weapons of mass destruction, or fund terror, and after 45 years of appeasement and incompetence, it must be only the United States and Israel that monitors and enforces that treaty.

In addition, this situation in the Middle East is why President Trump's energy policy is so important, and why the Obama and Biden energy policies were folly. America MUST be energy independent, so that malign international actors can't hold our economy and strategic interests hostage, like what happened in 1973 with the Arab Oil Embargo and the Iranian revolution in 1979. The petrodollar must be preserved along with our dollar remaining the world reserve currency. And we can never, ever, ever, forfeit not even one degree of our sovereignty to foreign entities like the World Economic Forum, the UN, or WHO, who do not put our national interests first every time without exception.

As President Reagan said, "We maintain the peace through our strength, weakness only invites aggression." The last 45 years is proof of that, and President Trump is living that truth.

As for the Israelis, I hope they heed the order of Colonel William Prescott in the Battle of Bunker Hill, "Don't shoot until you see the whites of their eyes."
