DEI, and that's not Dale Earnhardt, Inc. for you folks listening in Georgia, it is Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, which is far more than just a buzzword on college campuses and corporate America.Â
DEI is a Marxist construct dressed up as racial and social justice designed to replace American exceptionalism, rugged individualism, high achievement, critical thought, and meritocracy with sameness of achievement, sameness of thought, sameness of speech, and sameness of economic outcomes. It is a logical step in the evolution of what Rush Limbaugh called political correctness, Chris Hart called incrementalism, or what Agent Smith in the Matrix called inevitability. It is the stated policy of the Biden administration. Â
How pervasive is it? Almost every corporation of any consequence in America now has a DEI department, which advances the policy and polices thought and speech, and a corporate DEI statement, now as important as their mission statement and demanded by woke stakeholders and activists who stand ready to attack with pickets, online boycotts, and media shaming strategies if a corporation doesn't toe the DEI line.Â
On college campuses, DEI is HUGE business. For example, at Ohio State there are over 130 DEI officers earning $13.4 million a year, at Michigan there are 163 DEI officers, and at Virginia there are 6.5 DEI officers for every 100 tenured faculty. This is where the young Marxists are brainwashed, trained, and then unleased on society- all on our dime. Â
So what can we do about it? Get involved and familiarize yourself with your child's curriculum- from nursery school all the way through college- vote with your dollars, and if you encounter institutional Marxism in the form of DEI, call it out and denounce it because it is like mold, it spreads in darkness and dies in the light. The left is at war for the minds of your children, the dollars in your pocket, and your place in society. Educate, enlighten, and engage. That is how we win and save our culture. Â
