In case you missed it yesterday, Congressman Jason Smith of Missouri and the House Republicans on the Ways and Means committee released the IRS whistleblower transcripts relating to the Hunter Biden investigations. They gave a 15-minute presentation detailing the revelations which are quite astonishing. I encourage everybody to watch it and read Kimberly Strassel's op-ed piece in the Wall Street Journal this morning.
Yesterday we learned the following:
The DOJ stonewalled investigators at the IRS, refused to allow a search of the Biden guest house, and tipped off Hunter Biden about a warrant to search his storage facility.
DC US Attorney Matthew Graves- yes, the same Matthew Graves who has been mercilessly throwing the book at the January 6 defendants for the past 2 years, who threw a 69 YO grandmother with cancer in prison for simply entering the Capital building on January 6, and whose wife is CEO of the National Women's legal center, a $100 million concern dedicated to destroying Justice Clarence Thomas- personally quashed an investigation into Hunter Biden's tax crimes that occurred in 2014 and 2015.Â
Graves buried evidence of payments from Burisma to Hunter Biden and other FARA violations.
Graves' interference allowed the statute of limitations to run out allowing Hunter Biden to skate on tax evasion, failure to pay or file his taxes, filing a false tax return, and other FARA violations.
In October of last year, Graves' conduct concerned the lead prosecutor in the case, Delaware US Atty David Weiss, so much that Weiss went to AG Garland, informed him of Graves' malfeasance, and demanded a special prosecutor be appointed. Garland denied that request.
Text messages revealed that Hunter Biden threatened a Chinese oligarch named Henry Zhao, who had paid him $6 million, saying his dad, who was sitting right next to him, wasn't made whole. Quote "I am sitting here with my father and would like to understand why the commitment has not been fulfilled."
AG Garland committed perjury on March 1, 2023 in his sworn testimony to Sen. Grassley when he repeatedly stated that Weiss was unhindered and operating autonomously.Â
IRS Special Agent Gary Shapley, who was in charge of investigating Hunter Biden, never saw the now notorious FBI form 1023 which alleged and offered evidence of bribery by Joe and Hunter Biden, who received $5 million each from Burisma founder Mykola Zlochevsky. That's because the FBI hid it from them. Shapley was subsequently removed from the case and the IRS investigative team was issued a "stand down" order by AG Bill Barr's DOJ during the fall of 2020, prior to the presidential election.Â
This level of corruption and coordinated coverup, at the highest levels of our federal government, is unprecedented in our history. Yet the spineless cowards in house leadership and RNC have done nothing to support President Trump in his politicized prosecution, which by the way is peanuts compared to the Biden situation, nor hold Biden, Garland, the FBI, and Graves accountable.Â
The crimes are legion, the ramifications are grave, the accountability is lacking.Â
Our nation will not survive an ideologically biased and politically weaponized justice department. It must be stopped.
To quote President Calvin Coolidge in 1931, "A revolution is taking place which will leave the people dependent upon the government and will place the government where it will decide questions that are far better left to the people to decide for themselves."
Indeed, it is up to we the people to hold them accountable at the ballot box by re-electing President Trump. That's the only way this is going to get fixed.
